DFX - DFAA - DESIGN FOR X

DFX is the generic name where the excellence in the product and its design is the focus taking into account the economy of movements in the manufacturing process.
AviX DFX simplifies and standardizes how to deal with manufacturing issues.
Support is provided through examples and search functions, which makes work more enjoyable and top performers.
DFX strengthens visual analysis where improvement opportunities are captured at the design or reengineering phase.
Identify all the Physical and Psychosocial risks documenting them efficiently!

"DFA2 aso provides users with a "common language" that simplifies parallel product development in teamwork between designers, production engineers, quality engineers, purchasers, logistics specialist and so on. DFA2 supports product developers to focus their attention on avoiding one potential assembly problem at the time, in a structured way". Stephan Eisklander. Royal institute of Technology, Design for Automatic Assembly Thesis. 2001

DRIVING PRODUCT OPTIMIZATION THROUGH EARLY STAGE SUPPLIER ENGAGEMENT WITH DFX

  1.  Improved product cost (reduced life cycle cost)
  2.  Reduced time to market
  3.  Improved production yields (early prevention of defects)
  4.  Improved overall operational efficiencies
  5.  Improved Manufacturability (improve suitable manufacturing process and materials)

Benefit from AviX DFX Software!. Product designers who use DFX methods will add time to the design process but will reduce the time in manufacturing design and production problems. Existing products can be improved with AviX DFX by examining the design in order to identify and eliminate problems.

DFA, DFA2, DFM, DFS...

DFX is a collective name for evaluation methods that aim to improve the design from different aspects. It includes, for example, DFA (Design For Assembly), DFM (Design For Manufacturing), and DFS (Design For Service). When dealing with DFX related topics, the method used in the meeting often makes up the majority of the profit, therefore it is especially important to have a good tool where ideas and propositions are well documented. With DFX analysis, money and effort can be saved right from the product development phase. ¡The number of components and manual steps to produce a product can often be reduced by a 20-40%!.

Manufacturing Bill of Materials

With AviX DFX it is easy to analyze and build the product structure which provides an integrated approach to products and their variables. Of course, it is possible to import an MBOM or parts from external sources, such as Excel. A DFX analysis is based on a suitable template, for example, DFA2 at the level of detail. During the analysis phase, questions are asked about different design aspects for the products and objects that you have chosen to analyze. The supporting documentation for the DFX methodology, as well as your own drawings, images and / or films, will always be conveniently available in AviX DFX.

Custom Templates

With the software, it is much easier to work with the DFX philosophy since it has a guide-like interface. AviX DFX contains a wide selection of templates for various standard methods. Additionally, you can supplement the system by creating your own custom problem templates as required. Virtual product development is made easy as images, drawings, and other forms of documentation can be easily attached during analysis. Working with AviX DFX is preferably done in cross-functional team groups, where design and production personnel are involved. Discussions that occur during analysis time are valuable to all parties, and communication is facilitated through extensive use of DFX methodologies within the organization.

Design for Excellence Each design guideline addresses a given problem that is caused by, or affects the features of, a product. Design guidelines generally propose an approach and corresponding methods that can help generate and apply technical knowledge to control, improve, or even invent particular features of a product that enhance economy of motion.
DFX offers an imrpoved concurrent approach to product developers and design teams to design products in manual or automated assembly.

The evolution from manual to automated assembly is often seen as a single step or process, although the transition consists of several steps and factors that should be considered.
AviX DFX provides a structural and comprehensive methodology to achieve the desired results.
