CTPAT: Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism | NEEC: New Scheme of Certified Companies

CTPAT When a company is dertified CTPAT, an agreement is made to work with CBP to protect the Americas' supply chain, identify security gaps, and implement specific security measures and best practices. Applicants must address a broad range of security topics and present security profiles that list action plans to align security throughout the supply chain.

NEEC New Scheme of Certified Companies (NEEC) is a program that seeks to strengthen security in the foreign trade logistics chain by establishing, in coordination with the private sector, internationally recognized minimum security standards, providing benefits to companies and particiapant enterprises.

Companies that wish to be certified as NEEC must meet certain requirements, which can be encompassed in three compliance principles:

  • Taxes
  • Customs
  • Security
